    The Myth of Aging

    Most of us view the aging process as a decline in mobility and we assume that achy and stiff joints are "just part of getting older". 

    What if we could learn how to avoid such a breakdown and experience aging successfully by retaining our full functional potential right up until the end of life?

    Humans respond to the daily stresses and traumas which we encounter throughout life by triggering certain unconscious muscular reflexes. When repeated often enough these reflexes become so habitual and involuntary, that we no longer remember how to move freely with ease and grace.

    Stiffness, soreness and restricted range of movement is a learned, adaptive response within the nervous system to stress and trauma.  Because it is a learned response, it can be unlearned and reversed through a Somatic process of remembering, " what has been forgotten"!

   Somatic movements are designed to effectively reprogram the Sensory-Motor system by opening the doors of perception to your own unconscious habits and patterns.  Through Neuromuscular retraining, muscles that have become sore and stiff can be restored to their natural state of voluntary control. (relaxed)

   As you learn Somatic movements and incorporate them in your daily life, you will begin to override and reverse the cumulative effects of stress and aging on the body and move with ease and grace!
